MY TOP 5 COOLEST MOVIE MOTORBIKES

Sorry, Dennis, but the times they are a changing!

That’s right! Hopper didn’t make THE LIST because we don’t do those generic lists you can get on any other site. I wanted to put together a list of the Top 5 Movie Motor Bikes that I think kick ass. That, if I had the choice, I would choose to own. So, here are my Top 5 (in order):

5. BATPOD FROM THE DARK KNIGHT.

Not only can it drive half way up a wall and flip around and not only does it have two huge cannons on the front of it but it also ejects from one of the coolest movie cars ever.

4. GRACE FROM PULP FICTION.

I don’t know if this is necessarily the coolest bike but the story behind it makes it epic. Plus, how badass would it be to throw your girlfriend on the back and do the “Chopper” line? You mock but you’d do it!

3. LIGHT CYCLE FROM TRON.

I’m going to the old Tron for this pick because the new ones just kind of look like the Batpod. The old ones actually look like what we’d all drive in a Utopian future. Not only do these things kick and haul ass but they also leave a trail of light destruction that can only be rivalled by the lightsaber!

2. STAR TREK POLICE HOVERBIKE.

This may be the only thing that could ever get me to join the police force. This movie was awesome down to the very tiny details. Like the fact that cops on Earth drive kick ass Hoverbikes! Unfortunately, it’s the second best Hoverbike on THE LIST!

1. SCOUT TROOPER BIKE.

My love affair with these bikes are no secret. I’m a firm believer that these are the coolest Star Wars toys ever made and the best bike for hunting down rebels in the forests of Endor.

But what about you? What are some of your favorites???

  1. Bitchin’ list, man. I think the best part of Arnie’s bike is just that lever-action shotgun he uses on it, but what a badass bike all the same. No love for Peter Fonda’s “Captain America” in Easy Rider? And would The Batpod count? So many questions!

  2. Bruce Wayne Says:

By definition, a bike has two wheels; I see no wheels on your 1 or 2. So, replace with the easy rider chopped panhead and Steve’s Triumph from the great escape. (I recall reading that Steve rode the triumph so fast that the stuntmen chasing could not keep up with him. Steve played the Germans chasing himself escaping.). Honorable mention to a Batcycle.

    • Yeah, I have to admit, as sad as it is, I had the Batcycle on an early list and forgot about it! haha
A motorbike in my opinion is any machine shaped like a motorcycle. We have no need for roads where we’re going.

  3. No lightcycle from Tron?

  4. Totally agreeing with Bruce. Not having Steve McQueen on here is practically an insult.

  5. Sorry, all. I published an earlier draft of this by accident and deleted the wrong one. Special Thanks to Andy! I realized this was wrong because the light cycle was the inspiration for this list. Thanks!

  6. Love those bikes from Tron.

Worst movie motorbike – that silly thing John Connor has in T2 that can only do about 20mph and sounds like lawnmower on helium.

  7. […] Kai lists his top 5 coolest movie bikes (The List) […]

  8. Sweet list! Also love Arnie’s bike in T2, and Kanaeda’s bike in Akira

  9. What about Braff’s bike with the sidecar in Garden State?!?

Just kidding. having a hard time thinking of others not already mentioned, but I’ll take the newer TRON cycles, thanks. All you have to do is throw a stick in the air and it turns into a motorcycle – fuck yeah!

    Cool idea, Kaiderman.
