RANKING BATMEN

Posted in Batman with tags , on February 14, 2011 by Kaiderman

BATMANS? BATMEN? Whatever!

What can I say? With every day that passes, I get more and more excited for Christopher Nolan’s next installment in the Batman franchise. To bide my time, I thought we could take a look back at all the men who have played the Caped Crusader on the silver screen and figure out who did it best. Let’s get to it:

5. GEORGE CLOONEY.

This production was doomed from the start but it’s for reasons beyond just nipples on the bat suit. Even Clooney agrees he was easily the worst to take the part. Continue reading

TOP 5 PERFORMANCES: MARK WAHLBERG

Posted in Top 5 Performances with tags , on February 12, 2011 by Kaiderman

I don’t know about you but I think it’s kind of sad that some people are getting a lot of praise for their performances in The Fighter except for the guy who made the movie happen. Not that it’s not fair… Wahlberg doesn’t necessarily turn in a groundbreaking performance. However, as cheesy as the whole Marky Mark thing may be now, in retrospect, there’s no denying that the kid’s got skills. Want proof? Then check out these fine performances:

SIDENOTE: Please remember that this is a Best Performances list… not a Best Movies list.

5. THE BIG HIT.

Over the last few years, Wahlberg has proved he’s pretty good at the comedy thing. However, in this action comedy, Wahlberg first proved he could bring the funny while being the action guy everyone wanted him to be.

4. THE DEPARTED.

Once again, Wahlberg turns in a bit of the comic relief for a film even though it isn’t meant to be a funny film. In The Departed, he turns in a memorable, and underrated, performance surrounded by an all star cast. What’s more impressive is that his character wasn’t even featured in the film The Departed was based on (Infernal Affairs). So, unlike everyone else in the film, Wahlberg had to start from scratch and create a character that could fit in… he did just that. Continue reading

CONTEST: ENTER TO WIN A FREE DVD

Posted in Contests, MILFcast with tags on February 10, 2011 by Kaiderman

As you all know, my co-host on the MILFcast, Heather Roddy, and I love to laugh. We also like to give away DVD’s… we have weird hobbies. So, we thought why not combine our two passions. Our last guest on the podcast, Pablo Pappano, director of the documentary Clickin’ For Love, gave us a couple copies of his film and we want to give them to you.

All you have to do to win is write something movie related that makes us laugh. We’re keeping it pretty free form like the Kai’s Always Right game to allow for creative freedom. It can be a sentence, a paragraph or a thesis. We don’t care as long as it makes us laugh. Please leave your entries in the comments section below or, for longer entries, e-mail them to kai_parker@yahoo.com and put DVD CONTEST in the subject line.

Winners will be announced in a future episode of the MILFcast. Good luck and have fun!!!

IS IT JUST ME?

Posted in Is It Just Me? with tags , on February 2, 2011 by Kaiderman

Am I the only one irritated with the inclusion of Toy Story 3 in the Best Picture race?

Not because I don’t see why people think it should be included but for the fact that it totally sucks the air out of the Best Animated Feature category. I mean, Toy Story can’t lose in the animated category. If it did it would call the whole nomination process into question. I think it’s a damn shame and not just because I think How to Train Your Dragon is a better film!

I think we should keep animated films seperated… same with docs and foreign films… is it just me???
