WORLD PREMIERE… and some site news.
1. I have some big news, Ladies and Gentleman. I am starting a podcast! [waits for applause to die down] We are set to tape our first episode tomorrow and should be available for free download on iTunes in the next couple of weeks. Details for that are forth-coming. However, I would like to officially announce the name of the podcast… of which I am especially proud. Here ya go:
(aka: the Man, I Love Films podcast)
Bet you were expecting LISTcast, huh? In fact, we won’t even be doing any lists on the podcast. It will feature a “what we’ve been watching” segment, a general film discussion topic, movie news, celebrity spotlight and a film trivia game. The idea of the podcast is to have fun, keep it light, talk about what we all love and, hopefully, make you laugh a little.
2. If you haven’t all ready noticed, I’ve set up a new survey in our sidebar to gage interest in our upcoming cast so make sure and vote. Along those lines, our other survey has been closed and, as a result, we’ve decided to keep our site name as THE LIST. Although, who ever suggested changing it to Bow Down, Earthlings is one cool cat in my book!
3. I plan on implementing a comment contest in the months to come similar to some of our friendly sites. I have yet to decide on whether it will focus on the podcast or the site as of yet but stay tuned for that. I do know it will be a quality (not quantity) comment contest with the winner being chosen by the readers. The prize will likely be an iTunes gift card or 10$ to Amazon.
That’s it for now. Just wanted to let my faithful readers know what was on the horizon but stay tuned.

By the way, it feels creepy to use “do it” as a euphemism for podcasting.

What I love about your podcast is it has no lists and yet your site is THE LIST. You are one smooth criminal Kai, only you could get away with that.
After listening to it yesterday I’m excited for everyone else to hear your awesomeness.

Since it’s the first, it’ll be the worst… so just promise you’ll come back in the future so I can better show your movie knowledge talents… and maybe help boost your score on the game! 😉

Congrats on the podcast. You, sir, are far more up on this new-fangled technology than I am! I wish I had the time and reliable equipment to do a podcast, but it ain’t in the cards right now. Plus, I’m Southern, so of course I HATE the way my voice sounds on a recording!
