SCENES THAT KICK ASS #5
It’s time for a new entry into the pantheon of scenes that KICK ASS. The theory behind this post is this…
Some movies have a scene in them that is so awesome it can make the whole film worth watching. A scene that can make a bad film good and a great film better. A scene so good that it KICKS ASS… hence the title of the post. This week, we are featuring a clip from the movie:
Remember when vampires were masculine? I do! Therefore, I present you with this scene to prove it. Blade wasn’t a scary movie but this is a freaky scene and it’s also proof that David S. Goyer is capable of being a good writer. So, without further ado, I present you with a KICK ASS scene from the movie that really started the Comic Book to Film movement… ENJOY!!!
That’s it for now, Bloodsuckers. Feel free to comment below. I never edit any of the comments. Remember, this was meant to be an interactive site, as much as I love the sound of my own voice.

Awesome scene from a very solid movie. It’s too bad they had to milk to the last drop with 4 or 5 shitty and shiitier sequels

“Remember when vampires were masculine?” and they were played by former porn stars! Great post about a great scene from a great movie. My thoughts on Blade from last year.

Wow… wasn’t surew I’d get love for this. I agree Blade is a really solid flick. The follow-ups were lack luster but this one rocked… the movie that truly kicked off the comic adaptation craze!

The third was a mess but I loved the Guillermo del Toro directed second one, I think it was even slightly better than the first one.

Blade was a movie which I felt didn’t get enough kudos. It arrived a year before superhero movies became kosher, if I remember correctly, so it got passed over. Still, great original movie, slightly better sequel. Shame about the third film, but them seems to be the rules when you are talking about superhero trilogies.

I would love to see a Blade/Twilight crossover.
“The only good vampire is a dead vampire.”
“But I love her and am seriously mopey and em-”
(STAKE!)

Yeah… Blade would kick ass, while Whistler laughed, in the Twilight world!

They just don’t make vampire movies like they used to anymore (although Daybreakers was a valiant effort). Things started slipping with the True Blood series and then Twilight brutally murdered everything I love about vampire films.

Daybreakers was a fun little film… I agree… and you’re right… I just saw an ad for a new ABC Vampire show… UGH!!!

That Blade scene always reminds me of this gay club that used to have foam nights.
