SCENES THAT KICK ASS #1
Let’s face it, some lists are just too long to write. So, I’ve decided to introduce some ongoing lists starting with this one. The theory behind it is this…
Some movies have a scene in them that is so awesome it can make the whole film worth watching. A scene that can make a bad film good and a great film better. A scene so good that it KICKS ASS… hence the title of the post. This week, we are featuring a clip from the movie:
So, to kick this off, I give you the incomprable Steve Martin in one of the best scenes he’s ever done. Check it out:
That’s it for now, Big Nose.
Please feel free to leave comments in the section below. I never edit any of the comments. Remember, this was meant to be an interactive site, as much as I love the sound of my own voice.
You can also sign up to get this blog via e-mail at the top of the page. And, as always, if you like this site, TELL A FRIEND!
Check back Saturday as that is when new posts go up. I’m also going to try and keep the Wednesday posts going in the future so stay tuned. And remember… it’s not the size of the nose that counts. It’s the motion in the ocean!!!

I tend to quote “Get that guy away from my cocaine” the most… to anyone with a nose… size doesn’t really matter!

What happened to Steve Martin? When did he just stop being funny? (It seems like he stopped even trying.)
It just struck me when watching It’s Complicated that he had sunk so low as to play the straight man to Alec Baldwin. I think if you go back even ten years, nobody could have called that.

I think he’s trying harder and harder to embrace his intellectual side as he gets older. I say put the arrow back thru your head!!!

I’ll be honest.
I never liked this movie…………BUT
I haven’t seen it since I was a kid, so perhaps a second viewing is necessary to fully appreciate it. Even if I don’t like DH, I LOVE Steve Martin.

Ooh, yeah, you’re right. Completely slipped my mind. Was fantastic in Kill Bill. Though I’m still not a fan of her, onscreen or off.
